In a groundbreaking event at the 2024 PBA/PBA50/PWBA Jonesboro Trios, François Lavoie, Tom Hess, and Breanna Clemmer claimed the inaugural championship at Hijinx Entertainment Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This tournament was the first to award national titles across all three professional bowling tours—PBA, PBA50, and PWBA—making it a historic moment for the sport.

Championship Journey

Entering the finals as the No. 4 seed, Lavoie, Hess, and Clemmer had to climb the stepladder to secure victory. They defeated Justin Knowles, Parker Bohn III, and Alexis Runk in the title match with a commanding 224-181 win.

  • François Lavoie, who bowled the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th frames in the baker trios format, secured his sixth career PBA Tour title and second in Jonesboro.
  • Tom Hess, responsible for the 3rd, 6th, and 9th frames, earned his ninth career PBA50 Tour title and fourth of the 2024 season, tying John Janawicz for the most titles in the senior tour this year.
  • Breanna Clemmer, who bowled the 2nd, 5th, and 8th frames, captured her second PWBA Tour title.

“We just made history,” Hess said after the victory. “Nobody else will have the opportunity to win the first event where all three professional tours came together. There are no words to describe it.”

Tournament Format and Results

Players competed in two five-game qualifying rounds within their respective divisions on the 40-foot Monacelli oil pattern. Trios teams were then formed based on qualifying positions, with the top qualifiers in each division forming Team 1, and so forth.

After 16 games of round-robin match play in the baker trios format, teams rotated their lineup in the first 15 games, following the order PBA50, PWBA, PBA. In the position round and stepladder finals, teams were allowed to set their own lineup.

16ゲームのラウンドロビンマッチプレーでは、全チームがローテーションで順番を変えながらプレー。最後のポジションラウンドと決勝ステップラダーでは各チームが独自にオーダーを決定し、優勝を争った。
